1.Information we collect

(a)Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

(b)Company financial data. When you connect an accounting or banking provider, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or a bank account through Plaid, we receive the financial records you authorize, such as account balances, transactions, and reports. You choose which connections to make and can disconnect them at any time.

(c)Mobile number and messaging records. If you opt in to text messages, your mobile phone number, the date, time, and method of your consent, and a record of the messages we send you and any replies, including opt-out and help requests.

(d)Content you give Lina. Questions you ask, notes you enter, and the responses the Service generates for you.

(e)Usage and device information. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and log and diagnostic data generated when you use the Service. We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to protect the Service; we do not use advertising cookies.

2.How we use information

We use the information above to:

(a)provide the Service, including your Brief, cash runway calculations, alerts, and answers to your questions;

(b)send service emails, such as email address confirmation and password reset messages;

(c)send the text messages you opted in to receive, as described in section 5;

(d)secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems;

(e)respond to your requests and provide support;

(f)maintain and improve the Service; and

(g)comply with law and enforce our agreements.

We do not use your company financial data or your mobile number for advertising.

3.AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence models to summarize your financial position and answer your questions. To do that, the relevant financial data and the content of your question are sent to AI models hosted for us in Microsoft Azure. The information is processed to generate your response and is handled under this Privacy Policy.

4.How we share information

We share information only as described below:

(a)Service providers. Companies that operate parts of the Service for us under contract and may use the information only to provide those services to us: Microsoft Azure (hosting, databases, email delivery, and AI model processing), Twilio (text message delivery), and Google (sign-in with Google).

(b)Providers you connect. Intuit (QuickBooks), Xero, and Plaid exchange data with us when, and to the extent, you authorize a connection.

(c)Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.

(d)Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

(e)With your consent or at your direction.

Everything in this section is subject to section 5: mobile numbers and text messaging consent are never shared for marketing.

5.Text messages (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery, is permitted. All other categories of sharing in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you opt in to hiLina Cash Alerts, we use your mobile number only to send you account alerts about your company's cash position and a weekly status update, and to respond to your HELP and STOP requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Full program terms are in the hiLina SMS Terms.

6.Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account or ask us to delete your information, we delete or de-identify it unless we must keep it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Records of text messaging consent and opt-outs are kept as long as needed to honor and demonstrate them.

7.Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.Your choices and rights

(a)You can access and update your account information, and disconnect accounting and banking connections, in the Service.

(b)You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

(c)You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing founders@lrivp.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them as required.

Service emails such as email confirmation and password reset are part of operating your account and are sent even if you opt out of other messages.

9.Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10.Where information is processed

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top, and we will notify you of material changes by email or in the Service.
